Welcome the God of Wealth (財神)
Businesses reopen and firecrackers are lit to invite Cai Shen, the God of Wealth. A particularly auspicious day for new business ventures.
Human Day (人日)
Birthday of all humankind, celebrated by eating yu sheng (prosperity toss salad) in Singapore and Malaysia — tossed high for good fortune.
Lantern Festival (元宵節)
The final day of CNY celebrations. Lanterns are lit, riddles are solved, and tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings) are eaten to symbolize family reunion and completeness.
